I just love this quilt. You had me at the name. I love quirky birds, and love all the color combinations I see. I am going to make the version shown on the pattern cover, but I think that I will definitely be making another one out of another colorway.😍
I just bought the PDF of the pattern. Thank you for the correction. It's no problem. Beth
Also, two ways to get around this. More detailed explanation in the email:

I also have a little extra background fabric so I think I’ll recut and scrap the old. I don’t know if I really want to chance creating a problem with my other fabrics that I don’t have any extra of. I could tell something wasn’t quit right but I figured my cut was off; I should have stopped and asked. Even if I have to go to an alternate for my binding I think that will be a better outcome. I will wait to see what the fudge suggestion is but, why cause myself headaches this is supposed to be fun right?
Thanks I imagine there are so many details making a pattern. I bought extra fabric so was able to make the proper cuts.
Hi Allison
I'm using the instructions from Love Quilting magazine.
I assume this correction is for the background fabric?
The magazine instructions say to cut a 14" x WOF strip - should this now be 14 1/2" strip?
It also says to cut this into 3 x large DP curve units. Is this correct that we use the curve template to cut the fabric and the resulting arc shape is what we use to make the DP units with the DP curve from the bird body fabric. Or should we be using the arc template to cut the pieces?
Sorry if it's me just being a bit dim!
