Pattern Testing

Pattern testing is a crucial step in the process of writing a quilt pattern. It is the input from other experienced quilters that contributes to creating a correct and well-organized quilting patten.

What does a pattern tester do?

  • Finish a quilt top (flimsy finish) within the specified time frame

  • Proof read to check pattern for errors or mistakes in math, cutting, grammar, spelling, and formatting, etc.

  • Give feedback about pattern organization or sewing assembly instructions that are not clear

  • Provide high quality photos & share social media posts about upcoming pattern release
