My block also measures small BUT my drunkards path feather block was also small. I just laid them on top of one another and I can make them match up pretty perfectly. I am moving forward; my points look nice too. I’m pretty particular about my seam allowance and I have measured everything many, many times so I’m not sure why everything is small; maybe it’s the curves. put your two completed blocks in that row beside each other and just see if the difference can’t be compensated for (says the first tim curves stitcher).

@Allison Hi I printed correctly I measured the control square. The method used to trim the small DP units I think really threw It off. I followed the directions and videos. I first trimmed a 1/4” allowance on the legs side and then turned the block to trim to 3 1/2“ as described. The units measure 1/4” at the end of the block but where the seam runs 1/4” up the curve begins. So, when sewn the curved part of the leg side made the white background peek out and I was trying to sew in a way to minimize that so most of my seams are slightly greater than 1/4” and are consistent hence the block came out small so I guess I’ll have to fudge further along. I really don’t want to take the entire block apart or begin again.

My final assembled block is a little small. I think I was trying to get the white on the L background pieces to barely peek out and my seems are probably a bit over 1/4" my block measures about 12 1/4" will I be able to adjust for it?

I also have a little extra background fabric so I think I’ll recut and scrap the old. I don’t know if I really want to chance creating a problem with my other fabrics that I don’t have any extra of. I could tell something wasn’t quit right but I figured my cut was off; I should have stopped and asked. Even if I have to go to an alternate for my binding I think that will be a better outcome. I will wait to see what the fudge suggestion is but, why cause myself headaches this is supposed to be fun right?
